Use meds or just give up?

Hello everyone I started losing hair at the age of 15 I'm almost 18 now I've been using vitamins and diatary supplements but that doesnt seem to work it gotten worse over the years I bought some pills that contains 340 mg of saw palmetto and other vitamins and proteins like l-cystine I've been hesitant of using it because it lowers dht and you all know that sometimes that causes low libido and some other side effects my brother went bald at the age of 18 and the other at 30 and I got a somewhat decent beard so should I take the pills or it will affect the development of my beard and lower libido and I'll go bald in a couple of years ?
