I wonder if any of those products would benefit the normal hair loss sufferer?

KeepTheHair, Hair Cycle products are also great for hair loss sufferers who haven't undergone hair restoration surgery. The Hair Cycle shampoo and conditioners stimulate the anagen (growth) phase of hair, encouraging your hair to grow faster. The stimulation of anagen can also increase the number of hairs in the active growing phase, which means you should see less shedding. The shampoo also contains topical 5-alpha reductase inhibitors and androgen receptor blockers which help to prevent the conversion of testosterone to DHT.

Dr. Cole often recommends that hair loss patients (whether they are surgery candidates or not) alternate using Nizoral and Hair Cycle. Use Nizoral 1-2x a week and Hair Cycle the rest of the time. Both shampoos will work best if you leave them on for 5 minutes before rinsing so that they have time to penetrate the scalp and do their job.

Alpha Lipoic Acid: antioxidant in both lipid and water phases, increases glutathione levels in cell, enhances effects of other antioxidants

Arnica Montana: reduces inflammation; some people believe it has hair growth benefits.

Biotin: strengthens hair, improves metabolism of scalp oils

Bromelain: helps digest protein debris and crusts on the scalp; anti-inflammatory.

    Cocamidopropyl Betaine: amphoteric surfactant

D-Panthenol: increases epithelialization, anti-inflammatory, moisturizer, penetrates hair shaft

Grape seed extract: extremely potent antioxidant, proanthocyanidins extracted from grape seeds promote proliferation of hair follicle cells isolated from mice by about 230%. Proanthocyanidins possess remarkable hair-cycle-converting activity from the telogen phase to the anagen phase. Possibility of using the proanthocyanidins extracted from grape seeds as agents inducing hair growth.
