Can you post a photo? 3 weeks is way too early to tell. What I can tell you is that might donor area has healed A LOT since posting the above photo. I got my hands on 100% argan oil which has helped speed up the healing process significantly.

Annoyingly I don't know how to post pictures.. it asks for a URL. Mine looks very similar to yours tbh maybe a tiny bit worse. Sounds like I'll be ok but have to wait a few months for all the healing to finish. Donor area is still tender interestingly in the places where I think I have shock loss.

My donor area was tender for almost 6 weeks. The first couple of month's are the worst. Some advice would be not too focus on your hair so much. I was constantly looking in the mirror and taking photos every few days to see if things were healing and became really frustrated when I couldn't see any difference. Things will certainly get better over the next few weeks so don't worry about it.
