Default Long time hairloss battler, Need Advice where to go next...

    Hi everyone,

Long time member over at ************ but have found it pretty dead there as of recent and not really getting much feedback. Hoping to get some advice from members here...

I'm a 27 year old male who started noticing hairloss at around the age of 17-18. I started treatment just before my 20th birthday and have been upping treatments ever since. Below you will find my regimine changes as well as photo updates dating back to the start of my battle.

20-25 yrs old- Proscar 1/4 daily, intermittent use of Nizoral
25 yrs old- Started to notice losing ground, Started Minox once daily on hairline and crown
25.3 yrs old- Switched from Proscar to Dut 0.5 EOD. Kept on with Minox 1x daily
26.5 yrs old- Added in Proscar 1/4 EOD alternating with Dut
27 yrs old (3 months ago)- Began Ru58841 in Minox solution 1x daily at hairline

My hairline held pretty well up until my 25th birthday when I started noticing I was losing ground in one temple and my crown was starting to shed. This is when I started upping treatments to Dut and Minox. Since then my frontal region has continued to deteriorate even more quickly than before even with more intense therapies. Pics attached follow my progression. The photo where I buzz my head is after 5 years, and this is where I begin Minox, and shortly before I begin Dut.

Essentially since starting Dut I've really noticed the frontal region start to thin and quickly. I've heard some stories of this but never really any validity. This is why I began with RU58841, but I'm still to early with that to tell. Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated....

The loss ground, did you change anything IE diet, brand propecia etc?
    You ever considered topical finesteride?

First of all, your hair doesn't look too bad from what I see in the pic.

Now, I was a long long long time Minox and Fin user and they both -or maybe mostly the minox- kept my hair from falling out prematurely but sadly they both stopped working after so many long years of use. My density and thickness went from like 70% to maybe 35% or less in a year or so. But I have to say there's one thing that must have played a big role in this loss and that is STRESS. Gone through hell with some health issues and started shedding worse than a cat. This wasn't the first time I've lost so much hair pretty suddenly and quickly but maybe the 2nd. It never grew back.

I have to say Minox and Fin will definitely lose their effectiveness over time but it's hard to say how long. I was doing good -except for the frontal area- for a couple of decades but the last couple of years they both just lost their effectiveness.

Oh and I was on Dut for a few months but never saw any difference so went back to Fin.

I still use them but maybe just for the hell of it or to hopefully prevent a completely bald crown. I've had several HTs over the years too which really added to my density but now I'm sure all the hair I have in the frontal part of the head is transplanted. So, I don't have to worry much any more about that part.

I don't know what happened to this site but it too seems to be dying.
