finesteride?

I have been taking finesteride 1mg every other day since 1998 20 yrs, about 3 months ago I notice hair fallout. For the last 20 years I had very little fallout,hardly noticing it at all. Why is it not working after all this time. I need answers. I was taking nugenix about that time, stopped that april 4, 2 mos. later no change. Along with the nugenix. I installed a water softener.
