Actually, there is anecdotal evidence that doxycycline is good for hair loss.

Hard to tell without pics from "before". You need to track it, and see a dr.

I'd see a hair restoration specialist. Our physician is quite well versed in hair loss problems caused by atypical issues but you look good man. Keep taking pictures at regular intervals, check the drain in the shower etc.. Forget your anxiety ( like its that easy lol) but you are young, plenty of growth left in you. I hate to diasgree with Baldbeared because he knows alot, but as a medical professional for almost 30 years now, anectdotal studies or even stories are very hard for me to get behind. In the scientific method, the anecdotal evidence is the worst. I prefer double blind, controlled group, placebo introduced studies that are peer reviewed. Dont get me wrong, I am happy some people have had some positive effects from Dox, but frankly I would not rely on it for anything "off label prescribing" for it or seen what the mechanism of action would be. A good hair Doc can get you on the right path quickly. it is also my opinion that a physician specializes in hair loss wouldd be the way to go. Other Physicians can be keen on hair loss but the hair specialist knows the ends and outs more in my opinion. It boild down to the cases you've seen, and the dermatologists are great they simply do not see the higher numbers of patients that we see. Just my thoughts.
Note: I am not a Doctor but I have been a technician, Nurse and a pre-hospital emergency medical specialist with 6 years of education. I assisted with DR. Cole and his first patient in 1991. While I dont claim to be an expert, I am extremely confident in our clinic and our staff. I hope you feel better. Your young and good looking, so enjoy your youth! Dont let it hold you back.

@chase15 You are still young and you can probably resolve the issue if you really understand the underlying causes of hair loss. Read this thread https://www.baldtruthtalk.com/thread...s-of-hair-loss . I can see from your picture that you have a poor craniofacial development

    1. You can't see his entire face.

    2. You are NOT a doctor, so how can you tell he has "poor craniofacial development".

    3. The whole theory is complete bullshit, since how do you explain people with "poor craniofacial development", who do not go bald?

    Absurd!

    1) what you can see from the images is enough for judging his craniofacial development.

    2) Flat face, no cheekbones together with nose and eyes shape are indicators of the craniofacial development.

    3) These are the causes determining predisposition. Predisposition means the otucome depends on the individual and every individual is different.

Btw, are you a doctor to judge these empirical evidences? Do you have a degree of some kind at least? I think absurdity comes from people that are close minded and cannot question their believes. So good luck.

Good for you BaldBearded that you have such a well developed sense of smell, it will really help in your life. Having seeing the high level of conversation, I'm not going to argue further. Good luck with your smell

It's really hard to tell without 'before' pictures, but from the looks of it I really don't think you're losing your hair. However, if you do think it's thinning out, now is the best time to start preventative action before it really starts.
I'd recommend starting with your diet: make sure there's plenty of protein, omega 3 and iron in your food to promote healthy hair.
Then perhaps look at your haircare routine: avoid sulfates in your shampoo, opt for formulas with salicylic acid and niacinimide and start using a hair loss serum around the hair line to really give your hair the best chance of staying thick and healthy.
In reality though, you are still so young and you need to be enjoying your youth and having fun, not worrying about minimal hair loss, if any!
