Default Blowing nose post FUE OP

    Hi

I read on some after care websites that blowing your nose can dislodge grafts if you do so vigorously or strongly.

I tend to sound like a fog horn when I blow my nose and unconsciously did so once on 2nd day and once on 3rd day (today). Will this cause my grafts to come out and is there a way to tell?

    Thank you

Yes, there is alot of pressure your body creates during a sneeze. How long since your procedure? If you are more than 30 days out, and you had good graft placement during the procedure, I'd be careful and gentle. I would talk to your doctor, but grafts are easy to tell if they pop out, ultimately your hair Doc should look at it. i have seen very little loss with a sneeze or a client blowing their nose, but someone may have a different experience.

If your grafts came out, you would bleed. You are OK.

I have never heard of anyone dislodging grafts from sneezing or blowing their nose. Unless you're banging your head on something when you sneeze, I don't see any reason to be concerned. And as a rule of thumb, when a graft is dislodged, not only will their be bleeding, but it will be painful as well - so it's something you'd definitely know happened.
