    Spex BBC Radio Marathon on Hair Loss and new treatment

    Hi Guys,

    As I'm sure many of you are aware the media blew up yesterday with regards to this new possible cure which scientists have discovered can help with hair loss as a result of treating osteoporosis. I was inundate with requests to do radio interviews and a TV appearance in the UK on my own Hair loss experiences and opinion on the new treatment. I ended up doing 10 interviews and i'll link some below if interested.

      Here is another BBC Worldwide interview which turned into a healthy debate. You have got to give up most respect to "Toby" on the show who is on the money when we need try get people to move into the world that hair loss isn't a disease so therefore doesnt need cure! Love it when he makes the point that " Cure the Ginger disease ! "

              No real double blind, placebo introduced, controlled and peer reviewed study. Way too small a study group to call this even promising. Been through all the supposed "new" discoveries. I'm gonna wait before more data is in. Id love to see what they do have though. But again with such a small study group and, to my knowledge, no clear mechanism of action, I'm a bit gun shy. Hate those anectdotals without before and afters. I wanna see the science on the molecular level proven first.

                          I missed this and none of the interview links work any more

                          what was the general gist of this new osteoporosis 'cure' and does it still show promise, or just another pipe dream?
