Is hair transplant really a possibility for young diffuse thinners?

I am only 25 and have diffuse thinning (about 50% is gone). The back portion is still dense as usual but my sides are also slightly thinned out.

I tried Finasteride and it was working but the side effects were too noticeable so I stopped it.

Assuming I lose all the hair on the top and become NW6 in 6 years (which I will since I don't take Finasteride), how many grafts will I need to give me 50% density on my head? Assume that I have average thick hair at the back of my head.

I have a lot of chest and stomach hair but my beard is not that dense.

I'm not sure if I'm pipe dreaming about a hair transplant. I saw this video of an NW7 hair transplant with 12000 (!) grafts. I don't know if I can provide so many grafts from my donor area but I would be happy with that result if it is possible.

You would need to get evaluated by a surgeon. You are taking 30 percent of whats left and trying to cover 70 percent of your head the results are not normally great.

Can you see the outline of a Norwood 6 pattern yet?
If you do advance to a high Norwood number, and your donor area is below average, then it might not be possible to give you full coverage to a density that you would find satisfying.

The balding area can vary in size from person to person. The total balding area of one NW6 might be very different to the next NW6. Your hair characteristics will be very important to how dense the final result looks.

It would be worth getting the opinion of a doctor now, even though a procedure, if it happens at all, is a long way off.
