Hi,

So recently in the last 1-2 years my hairline has been on a rapid decline and when i jumped in a pool on holiday someone told me about my bald patch on my crown. I'm about 3 weeks into taking regain 2 times a day and 1mg of finestaride and i'm losing like 20-50 hairs in the shower and wasnt sure if this was normal. I didn't lose this many prior to not taking it.

Like i'm going to stay on the rogaine etc cause i want good healthy hair but wasnt sure about the losing hair part.

Take Finasteride.... minoxidil is not that much effective..

It's the regaine that causes shedding at first, stick with both of them. They work together real good.. Add vitamins like omega 3 and vitamin d

Both treatments can cause shedding which in most cases is temporary and the hair returns in time. Its common to look worse before you look better.

Losing 20-50 hairs in the shower doesn't seem too excessive, as it's normal to lose around 100 per day and washing is when the majority of those hairs are normally seen. But if you're noticing an increase then there is probably a reason for this and the most likely cause is the the treatments.

I disagree that Rogaine does nothing. It can work wonders on the crown and midscalp.
