Absolutely - your scalp is one of the most important areas for reducing hair loss. Dandruff is a big signal that the scalp is dry and dehydrated, which means it's not a very good environment for healthy hair growth. A hydrated, non-irritated and happy scalp is the perfect base for thick and healthy hair.
If you're experiencing dandruff, you might want to look at the shampoo you're using as it may be excessively drying out your scalp or not cleaning it properly. Get a shampoo with salicylic acid and aloe vera/chamomile to exfoliate and cleanse the scalp while soothing irritated and flaky skin.Comment

You either have the genetic potential for hairloss or you don't. You can keep your scalp clean or you can be dirty. It won't make any big difference. That's the reality of the situation.
However, if you have dandruff that doesn't mean that you aren't clean. I don't think there is any connection between dandruff and male pattern balding.I am a patient and representative of Dr Rahal

If your scalp is in bad condition your hair will also be unhealthy. Male pattern baldness isn't the only reason people lose hair..I understand what you are saying, if your genes are predisposed to go bald, it is hard to stop with out drugs. I had a friend who lost hair because of psoriasis on the scalp. When he fixed the problem his hair came right back fuller then ever. He used tar shampooComment
