Finasteride 3 years 9 months update (age 25)
Hi all
My original thread can be found here: https://www.baldtruthtalk.com/thread...ht=#post237466
As promised, I am writing to give you guys an update on my hair situation
I have now been on finasteride for around 3 years and 9 months
Thankfully, not much have changed since my last post almost two years ago
I have managed to keep my hair and did not notice any further significant hair loss
I think my temples have slightly receded further, however the recession is relatively minor and the rate/speed has been reduced drastically therefore without any doubts I feel like my hair loss has been stabilised
With regards to side effects, I do not think I have any. Sex drive and erections are good.
I have noticed that sometimes i feel down, however i do not think it has anything to do with finasteride, and even if it has, i know that i would feel 10x worse if i lost my hair, therefore i accept it. But i am going to repeat myself - it is unlikely that finasteride causes it
To sum it up, starting finasteride was one of the best decisions i have ever made. My only regret is not starting it earlier. I am 100% sure that I would have lost my hair by now if I had not started finasteride, especially if you take into consideration how aggressive my hair loss was at such a young age and that all males in my family are bold.
I am going to continue taking finasteride for many more years and might even have a hair transplant to correct my temples in a few years time to make it perfect as my hair loss is now stable and in hand
My advice to anyone who is at the early stages of hair loss is to stop reading all those negative comments and give the drug a go because it is the only thing that can save your hair.
Chances of getting sides are very slim, and even if you do get them they will go away with time for the vast majority of people.
But anyway, this is just an opinion based on my personal experiences
Hope this helps, and good luck guys

Hey awesome results, you could stop further temple recession with derma roller and topical DHT blockers or anti androgen blockers/Hair oils. DR regenepure or nizoral is also a good addition.
