Should I Buzzcut if im a diffused thinner?

My hair looks alright without sunlight, but in direct light you can pretty much just see right through the hair I have. The most thin/balding part of my hair is the crown. I'm tired of worrying about my hair, and making it seem okay. I just want to buzz it off. However, with the type of balding/thinning i have, I'm afraid if i do buzz my hair it will make it seem like im more bald looking.

The pictures I posted are with flash.

Shaved heads for people who are balding always look better, your not that far gone though, so i reckon you can still pull it off.

Buzzing it is about owning it more than hiding it. Areas of bald scalp will still be visible with a buzz cut (which is why people get SMP) but most people will agree that buzzed looks better than thinning hair does when it's longer. I think you should go for it. If you don't like it then it'll grow back to the length it is in the photos pretty quickly.

buzz it all the way, and you'll feel instant relief. you might take some shit from friends for about 3-4 days, but after that it's all systems go. been there, done that.

Buzzing is the safer quickest stress free solution.

You are very lucky there is no harm on your scalp as some others now face. Enjoy the buzzed look, it definitely looks like it can suit you.

Thanks for the feedback. I will go for it when it gets warmer outside. What do you think I should buzz it on top? Im thinking skin fade on sides.

Yup, your idea of buzz on top and skin fade on sides is not bad at all.

You are very lucky to be in the situation your in. Things for me seem so downhill right now. Life isn't fair. I am literally mocked on about by some folks telling me i am losing hair in the areas i had a transplant and they cant tell anything positive about it. You are really playing this smart.

I will say, there is a potential, that buzzing your hair shorter, can potentially make the hair loss more pronounced. Just be ready for that possibility.

Shaving down might make it look thinner as the 'shadow' of the stubble is less dark in the thinning area.

Unfortunately, yes. I have seen a few guys, on here, especially with curly hair. When the hair is longer, the curls hide the thinning. When buzzed short, all of a sudden you see the M pattern in front, and the crown, where you didn't before.

In your case... it may just do that. But... you are already visibly thinning, so you can always give it a shot, will grow back in a couple of weeks.
