    Should I start Propecia?

    Hi everyone,

So I am thinking about starting Propecia while it still looks like I have a passable full head of hair.

Nobody in my family is bald but I have some recession in temples. And when I look back through old photos it looks like I have had this for about 5 years so maybe I won't go bald.

Anyway, should I start Propecia or wait a little longer (til I'm balding but a transplant can fix) or just stay away from it altogether.

    Cheers,
    Scott

    Yes.

One of my biggest regrets is not starting on propecia sooner. If I had begun taking it as soon as I had noticed recession, I'm pretty certain it would have made a huge difference. Instead, I waited 8 years, and now I deeply regret it.

You can always stop taking it. But once your hair is gone, you can't grow it back (not yet, anyway).

How long have you been taking it? I am scared when people say they get permanent side-effects. I honestly couldn't care less about sexual side-effects but I'm scared of psychological ones...

I've been taking propecia for 8 years. Not had a single side effect, either sexual or psychological.
