Default Need solid advice on using Rogaine in conjunction with Nizoral

Hey everyone. I'm new here. 41 years old... Thought by the time I got 40 my hair was here to stay and I didn't need to worry about hair loss anymore. WRONG lol I'm losing hair in the vortex. It's noticeable. I use "topik" (which surprisingly works great) to cover it, but recently decided to take the plunge into meds. I'm on Propecia and am now going to start using Nizoral in conjunction with Rogaine. I'm just wondering if I should apply the Rogaine directly after I shampoo with the Nizoral? I've looked everywhere on here and i don't see any precise directions in regards to when exactly you should apply the Rogaine. I read everywhere that they are a great combo. I just really want to know the optimal moment to apply the Rogaine after using Nizoral. Directly after while the scalp is still wet? A few hours later when it's dried? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

After a shower you may get better absorption but as long as you apply it I don't think you will see a big difference. I apply in the morning a few hours before a shower because I have found if you leave it in it really matts down the hair.

Oh that's interesting... So basically once you've had this stuff on for 3-4 hours its done its job and you can actually shower and rinse it out? It won't change the effectiveness? That would be great. What about conditioner? Is it ok to use conditioner after I use Nizoral? Thanks very much for the info!

After 2 hours about 50 percent is absorbed and I think around 4 hours for full absorption. It won't change the effectiveness, I have been doing it for 20 years. You can condition after Nizoral. I put the Nizoral on and try to leave it in for about 5 min.
