18 years old and balding or thinning please let me know

Hello I’m an 18 year old worried student that just realised something weird about my hair on the side, it looks like I’m balding or thinning but when I want to the pharmacy the woman said she sees nothing wrong and it’s just my hair is shorter and the fact it’s dark, my scalp seems more visible and my hair is in a parting

Is there a way I can reverse this ? Because I went to a pharamacist and they told me they don’t see anything wrong with it and it could be that my hair is just short on that area and because my hair is dark compared to my skin so you can easily see my scalp

You look, from what I see in your photos, to be suffering from Telogen Effluvium (Google it). It has a number of causes. A pharmacist is not trained to diagnose, and should NOT be offering ANY advice (or any other employee).

Go and see a doctor, this is not normal for someone your age, it has nothing to do with hair length or color.

Once you get a diagnosis, you will have a better idea of if it can be reversed.
