where am I placed on the norwood scale?
I have been receding+thinning for about two years. No baldness is in my family. The father of my mother is a norwood 3 or so, but no balding. My mother has got quite thin hair because of an immune/thyroid problem, and I believe I may have the same. I have miniaturization all over the head. I have spoke with a doctor and she has told me to get my testosterone checked along with my adrenals (which I take vitamins for) and to watch my diet and exersize. Can you tell me how bad it looks? I am 20. Sorry for my English

Looks absolutely fine to me. No real recession to speak of. Your hair is reasonably fine as well as straight, and this can expose more scalp with shorter hair. I see no cause for concern.

That's good advice from your doctor but I agree, you don't have male pattern hair loss. When you cut your hair short, regardless of how fine or coarse it is, more scalp will be visible. Adding gel to your hair or product that clumps hairs together doesn't help matters.

I do not use any gel or products in my hair. When dry, it has no volum and does not feel thicker as it did 2 or 3 years ago. I can include more pictures if this helps

I think u be okay .. take meds like propecia.. it will help diffuse thinners.. thicken up what u got so it won’t fall out as easily .. .. if u already seeing Hairloss at a young age n buzzing ur head already .. then yeah u need to take action .. don’t wait till u get a big spot to do something about it .. n don’t waste time on natural remedies .. things will continue to get worse until u realize science is the answer .. I probably wasted a few years myself before realizing I have a hair loss problem. . N thinking supplements n non fda approved remedies will make things better ..

I do not think propecia will help my situation as I believe it is due to an immune issue. I had yes some success with minoxidil but it made my hair flaky and I had sideeffects.
