Can accessories like helmets worsen hair loss?

Nope. This is one of those myths that get passed along generation after generation that many of us just accept as truth. When I had my initial consultation with Dr. Mohebi several years ago to address my hair loss, I was beating myself up for wearing hats so often in the past and believed this contributed to my hair loss. He assured me that in no way does wearing a hat cause hair loss, so I was able to let myself off the hook. And now that my hair is restored, I still wear my hats with confidence knowing that they're not causing any damage.
All that said, if you have thinning hair, wearing a hat/helmet can give you "hat hair" which will accentuate your hair loss and make it appear thinner... but it's all an illusion.

When you say helmets are you talking about LLLT helmets and if there is a possibility that could be harmful in some instances instead? Or just talking about hats/beenies?
