Default Shock loss in donor area

I was wondering if anyone here has had significant shock loss of their donor area. My doctor is already aware that I have had some in both the recipient and donor areas and that it should grow back. Right now, there are a couple of patches that are about an inch in diameter along the donor line. By the way, I am just over a month post-op.

Does it matter that this is my second procedure? After the first one, I did not have significant shock loss in the donor area. Just with this one.

I guess I am just looking for some reassurance that it will indeed grow and that others have had this...

From my experience, it's not particularly common though it does occur more often with strip cases, particularly around the area surrounding the strip excision. Any shock loss in this area should resolve itself over a course of 6 to 8 months.

I have only had a few cases over the last 12 years of any noticable shock loss in the donor area. They all had full recovery within 6-12 months. Hang in there and everything should return to normal.
