    am I losing it?

Prior to the start of this year I have always had buzzed or short and styled hair. This spring I started growing it out and recently saw an unflattering photo of me at an event that showed how thin my hair actually is.

I know it's a touchy subject but my friends and family tell me that it looks good and I have nothing to worry about because of my age (23) but I think they're lying and I'm hoping that you guys will tell me the honest truth.

(no flash, flash, no flash, no flash)

Sorry for the shoddy photos but they should be adequate.

I finally have the confidence to grow out my hair but I think that I may need to accept that it won't look good and go back to rocking a buzz cut.

Unfortunately, it does look like MPB. But on the bright side, there are medications to fight the hairloss. These are the following. Propecia, Minoxidil and Nizoral. I suggest that you read about them if you'd like to combat your hairloss

They are lying, your MBP is actually quite advanced for your age. Sorry

unfortunately I think it's too late, even if I held on to what i have now I won't be super content with it. Frankly I am a little embarrassed that I've been growing it out for so long without realizing it looked so bad from the back. I'm a little surprised that my friends haven't given me shit for it.

Thanks, that's all I needed to hear.

I think a buzz cut is in order this evening.

update: never did get that buzz cut. Seems to have gotten slightly worse.

You are at least a Norwood IIIV, on the baldness scale. You have three options, Drugs, Rugs and Plugs. You may be too far along for meds. At your age, and advanced stage of baldness. If you do a HT now, you may need follow-ups as you move towards an eventual N6/N7. You could go hair system, which would cover you for... ever, if you want to go that route.

You could also ignore it, and just go on with your life... or shave it.

You have nice long hair... I would leave it... and enjoy it while you still have it...
