Can Rogaine Actually Cause Permanent Hair Loss?

I've been using 5% Kirkland Minox foam for about a year. My hair on top has thinned big-time after regular use! Much more hair loss than can be caused by normal male pattern. YES, I know some shedding is normal, but this can't be. I have no illnesses.

My question--If I stop now, will it grown back to "normal", or has this completely damaged my hair forever?

    Would Propecia fix it?

Please don't tell me that shedding like this is normal...it's been too long with no new 'peach fuzz' or anything...just WAY thinner hair. Bummed...Anyone? Thanks

Minoxidil does NOT stop you from growing bald. It does not block DHT, which means that you keep going bald even if you use it, but POSSIBLY at a much slower rate.

Therefore, your hair can continue becoming thin while using minoxidil. I've currently been using minoxidil for about 2 months and I'm considering Propecia. Propecia blocks DHT, which stops balding.

It has been said that discontinuing Minoxidil will reverse the effects and make you look like you never used it, so in that sense; if you decide to go off of it it your hair should as if you haven't used it. ALTHOUGH your hair might've gotten worse throughout the period of usage.

I recommend for you to read about what you actually use before using it. You are taking drugs which can have a negative impact on your life, so read what they do for Godssake.
