Do I have a receding hairline?
Overall, my hair is still incredibly coarse and thick, but in the last 3 years, my corners have been giving away and I'm worried this will eventually lead to balding. It sort of has that M-shape that many people talk about.

Receding- yes, but that is normal. Your hair will naturally creep back as you get older. This could just be a maturing hairline which is a perfectly normal thing to happen between ages 17-21 or so but it doesn't have a set time. It can take three years- it could take thirty. It looks like you've begun that process. If it gets thinner then you may be in trouble.

Yes, but if your worried and do not want to use finesteride. I would personally get a 1mm derma roller, 5% minoxidil foam and Nizoral shampoo 3 times per week.

That should regrow most your temples and hairline, derma roll every other day and use the minoxidil 5% foam twice per day mainly around the frontal region and little on the crown for coverage.
