    FUE Surgeon recommendations?

    All,

I would love to know if you have a surgeon recommendation for me based on my situation

Norwood 3/3A. 41 year old Caucasian male, been on Proscar/Propecia and Minxodyl since I was 20. Fine brown hair (always had fine hair).

I don’t have concerns about budget or recovery time- I want the best, most natural looking, long term result I can get. I’d prefer to do the surgery in LA or NYC but I’m willing to travel elsewhere for the right surgeon.

I had an initial consult with Dr Carlos Wesley in NYC. I liked him, he recommended 2,700 graft FUE. I feel like it’s good to get second opinions so I will soon be seeing Drs Hayatdavoudi and Dauer in LA. Planning on choosing relatively soon among those 3 surgeons.

Any other surgeons I should add to my list? Any other pieces of advice (aside from reading the Forum, which I do)?

    Bump.

Interested if anyone has guidance for this situation: OP seems to have modest and seemingly well controlled hair loss, is looking for a natural result without budgetary or logistical limitations.

OP: I can't speak from experience but Dauer seems like a good bet.

Dr. Baubac Hayatdavoudi explains why he does all his own FUE harvesting

One of the first questions I would look at when researching FUE surgeons and clinics is, who is doing the FUE harvesting?? The doctor himself? A Physician assistant? A technician?

Undergoing a Hair Restoration is a life changing decision. For such an important choice it is important to know who is performing your FUE Hair Restoration procedure.

At many FUE clinics in Canada and even in the United States, Physician Assistants, Technicians as well as untrained and unlicensed medical personal are doing the FUE Extractions and harvesting for the procedures. Not your hair restoration surgeon.

Here Dr. Baubac explains why he does all his own FUE harvesting at our Beverly Hills Clinic: https://www.alviarmani.com/alvi-arma...-by-dr-baubac/

There are plenty of surgeons out there, that is true. That does not mean that just anyone should be considered for a procedure as delicate as FUE. The IAHRS recommended list is a great place to start.
