    Massive hair loss at 24

    Hello,
I'm a 24 year old Asian male. I started thinning at the age of around 18 around my vertex and it has continued ever since to my front area as well. I started using Minoxidil at 22 and have been using it quite regularly ever since, at first it did seem to be helping but recently I've lost quite a bit more. I don't want to take propecia given the side effects and I had a friend who reacted badly to it. It's obviously quite common in my family and it seems to be quite aggressive, my brother also lost his air at a similar age. My question is at the current state should I opt for a Hair Transplant given the fact that I'm still young or its better if I get it done now?
Here are the photos of my hair currently

There's a lot of light in it so I guess its magnified but it's still a very significant amount.

Well ironically one benefit you do have is you lost quite a bit already so the case against young men getting hair transplants at a young age due to progressive loss doesn't apply as much to you because it's quite obvious where you are headed.

However, given your skin tone you likely would look good with a shaved head. I'd suggest doing that first before you get consider a hair transplant.

If you end up at a good Doctor Hair Transplants can be beneficial. I wouldn't be so scared of Propecia / Finasteride either.

I would go with buzz it or shave it, at this point.

I would shave it at this point. If it is any consolation you appear to have pretty good brow and cheek bones and could probably pull the shaved look off quite well.
