Dermatologist will not help me out!

This all started in April when I experienced a big shed All Around My Head. My hair ended up very sparse after that shed. I'm still shedding slight to this day And one side of my hairline is patchy I went to the dermatologist and the guy didn't even look at my head he claimed I was stressed out but I wasn't. If any of you guys can fill me in on what's going on if I'm balding or is it something else going on please let me know from your opinions.
