Default Would an IAHRS surgeon ever do this?

I was on here a few years back, desperate, looking for answers. I wanted a HT so bad, but everyone advised against it, as my loss was heading towards advanced, and I had not stabilized it with finasteride or anything. They warned that I would continue to lose hair behind my transplant should I go ahead with the procedure for a more agressive hairline, and eventually run out of donor hair.

I never had the procedure, and I actually started wearing hair systems, which weren't perfect, but were still very satisfying, and restored a confidence in me I hadn't had in years. The only problem with them is that the hairline is unnatural and I could only pull of short styles with bangs pulled down. But I really want my long rocker hair back. That look just can't be pulled off with a hair system.

Now onto my point... I've had the idea of potentially having a transplant just to give me a good hairline only, ignoring the hairloss on top of my head. I would do this for the purpose of being able to shave the portion of my hair on top and use a hair system on top of my head. This way I could have the best of both worlds. I could have the real hairline up front, and I'd never have to worry about the hairloss behind it, as I'd just use a hair system there.

Is this a good idea? Would a reputable surgeon agree to do this? Or is it out of the question. It was just an idea, and actually an idea that I'm extremely fond of.
