18 and about to go off to college. Should I be worried or am I going crazy?

    Hello,
I am 18 and am about to go off to college. I have been really worried for the past year that I have been losing my hair. I am mainly worried about the crown of my head and the left temple. Do you guys think I need to be worried and start minoxidil, or am I fine?
    Thank you,
    Joseph

Generally it's pretty common for men in their late teens/early 20s to see a slight to moderate recession in their temples, which we refer to as a maturing hairline. When this happens, it typically only lasts a year or two before stabilizing until later in life when it's more typical for men to start going bald. It's worth noting that this doesn't usually cause any changes in crown density, so if you are seeing changes there it'd be best to see a dermatologist. Without before pictures I can't really tell you if you've experienced any changes because what you have currently definitely could pass as a natural, full head of hair. If you feel as if there are changes though get it checked out- if anything they would probably just recommend you Minoxidil. Good luck!

Your hair looks great. The only thing to worry about is making sure you get enough study time in between hooking up with the hotties.
