Cause of hairloss?
Hey,
I lost my hair when I turned 20, what the doctor described as "male pattern baldness". I lost only the hair on the top of my scalp. But it all happened overnight, literally, I lost my hair in about 7-8 days and it never grew back.
Whatsoever, I went to a doctor who said it were male pattern baldness. I didn't really believe him, because the hairloss happened so quickly. So I went to a dermatologist for further testing.
My DHT levels are BELOW normal levels (low as outside of range). My FREE Testosterone is high (high as outside normal range). My DHEA is LOW as well.
My hair loss is not due to Alopecia, DHT, or any Thyroid disorder (tested with full panel).
What I hope someone would be able to answer is: is it possible to lose hair due to high testosterone levels? Due to low DHEA? Due to low DHT? Or is there anything else going on here? Suggestions?
