Norwood 2 before 20 = No hope?
Does a mature hairline actually exist or is it balding? I see many posts on here telling individuals to use preventative treatments as soon as they hit Norwood 2. Then there's the other percentage of people who proclaim its a maturing hairline?
I'm 19 and my hairline has been receding, maturing for a bit now.. my hairline looks very similar to my father's but he had a straight across hairline until his 30's which is what worry's me as I'm +10 years ahead of the game. Is there actually any people who have started recession before the age of 20 and didn't bald? The fact everyone on here has different views on this matter makes it all the more diffiicult to make a decision on what I should do?

Hey buddy, hairloss is random.
That's all there is to it. Some could get to NW2 at 18, and stay that way until they are 60. Others can be a NW1 at 30 and be NW6 bald by 35.
It's a lottery. Try to take solace in the fact that as bad as it can get, it could also be the better of the outcomes for you.
The hard part is not knowing. But you never will know until it happens, so why obsess over something that hasn't happened yet.
Hold tight, keep an eye on it, and enjoy your life as much as you can.
