How bad is my balding at 20 years old

Have been using minoxidil for a year now, have a family history of balding. Am getting really worried about balding. Please advice!

Unfortunately I don't have before pics. I do feel like my crown area has gotten better though. The problem is after a shower when I take a picture my hair looks sparse

Thts all right. Has is improves your hairline or at least retained what u had cause I am 15 and my hair line honestly is messed up. will look for treatments after sophomore year hopefully.

If the picture on the right is where your hair is NOW, then it's definitely working for you. It will work well probably for five more years, at which point you might want to consider Finasteride (even microdosing it), in addition to Minoxidil.
