    Default Just got done

Flew from Europe to Dr. Epstein to Miami in a world-wind 4 day experience. Got about 2700 grafts and I am now trying to adhere to the post op protocols as much as I can, which is made more complicated with all the travelling. Everyone in the office has told me that the work is beautiful, and at his point, I have no reason to believe otherwise. Dr. Epstein's staff treated me very well and as I suspected from his videos, Dr. Epstein is a top notch doctor and person. The surgery actually was kinda fun and we had a lot of laughs in the room. It took 8 hours. The scars are buried very well and now I am simply left to wait. I just want to turn up the clock to Christmas already, but have not figured out a way to do that. The pain was bad, but not unbearable the first night, but now being only 48 hours removed from the procedure, I feel pretty good.

I'll take any words of encouragement that I can get from anyone out there who is a FUT veteran -- thanks for reading. I hope Dr. E posts my before and afters someday, as this would be an indication that everything went well...we'll see in 6 months!!!

thx winston...right now I suppose i only would have 'before' shots and two day post-ops, but was thinking of doing some periodic photo documentation and then post in a few months

No, I didn't end up moving forward with the procedure. However, I think you made a good choice in Dr. E. He's recommended by the IAHRS and has produced some good work. I still have some hair so I've decided to give meds a try. I've recently experienced some miniaturization of the crown so I've decided, like I said, to get on meds, and I'm also going to give PRP a try, in a couple of weeks. I started a thread and my progress will be posted monthly.

Since I've considered Dr. E, I'm very interested, as I'm sure many other members are, in seeing your documented progress. Please keep us posted.

In regards to posting pics, I ran into the same troubles you did. I think when you initiate the thread, you have an option to attach a pic. I'm not sure though. Sorry.
