Default Am I balding? What will happen if I leave it untreated?

So I am receeding on the right side of my head. The right side in general is much thinner than the left, this is on the top and side.

    I can't afford any treatment.

    Thanks

What'll happen if I just leave my hair as it is? Will I lose my hair? What will my hair loss pattern be?

Yes, you will lose your hair and go bald.

The bad news is, if you continue without treatment, you will not be able to regrow the hair you lost.

I don't really have any hair loss on the crown. Here's a picture:

    I have a few questions:

    1. What will my balding pattern be? I.e., where will I go bald first?
    2. Can you show me an example of someone with a similar pattern as me?
    3. How long do you think until it's really noticeable?

Everybody is different. The earlier you start, in general, the worse it will be.

Some guys lose hair very slowly. Usually they bald at a later age.

Take it from me. It only gets more expensive and harder, unfortunately, the longer you wait.

I understand if you can't afford treatment. I spend quite a lot keeping and regrowing hair
    that I currently have now.

If I would have started earlier, I wouldn't have to take treatments I do now (Progesterone, Finasteride, and
    lots of Minoxidil).

    I wish I treated this when I was younger, but I DIDN'T.

I see, right now would you say I'm a NW2?

I literally won't have any spare money to spend on hair treatement for 3 years, which is whenl I've finished college and have a job.

Will I have lost a lot more by then? I'll be 27

From looking at your pictures and how quickly your hairline has moved up I'd say get on treatments asap. Better safe than sorry and as for your Norwood.. you've definitely progressed past stage 2. You're a 3 at this point which is pronounced balding. Some recede and then stop at Norwood 3 but personally I wouldn't risk waiting around to test it. If you choose to take finasteride there's a high chance you'll maintain your hair for a decade, maybe even longer. Using a combination of fin and minox may actually regrow your hair back to a 2.

Your other alternate is letting yourself bald. You're a good looking guy (no homo) and you have a good head shape so the chances are it won't at all harm your sex life. The only thing it will effect is your confidence but going to the gym and improving other aspects of your body will help build this back up. If you don't like the complete bald look maybe look into SMP.. it would suit someone like yourself who has dark features.
