1 year on Rogaine foam - shedding now a lot!!

    Hi guys!

First time posting on this forum but I was reading many threads for over a year now.

Currently I am facing a very weird situation and I couldn't find an answer.

I am using Rogaine foam 5% twice a day for a year.

At the beginning of May I started noticing excessive shedding during the shower (around 20 hair while I am using shampoo on my hair, while I apply minoxidil 10-20 hair and when I am styling my hair 10 hair but i believe there are a lot more that I am not noticing)

When I first started using minoxidil I noticed the initial shed but not to this point. Now is going strong and I am loosing all type of hair; long, short, thin and thick. Before the shed my crown was not very visible but now it is and is making me very depressed.

I must mention that I switch to Rogaine 5% liquid during the middle of May (because I had delays with my foam order) so I got some from my local pharmacy and I am applying it daily but only at night. I am using double dosage though and finally my order arrived and I am picking it up tomorrow.

Any thoughts guys? I am freaking out here!!

Well i guess that explains everything! i do not understand why but even slight change in regime can screw everything! in my case i added lipogaine into perfectly working regime. And started from april i have lost all my gains! and hit the baseline in just one month, i am still shedding hairs that attached to white/yellowish bulbs . i stopped using lipogaine month ago but still shedding just riding out the shedding phase and hoping coming back from hell.

    Treatment
    Propecia(9 months)
    Rogaine foam x2 (7months)
    Regenepure (7 months)
    Supplements (biotin, itreallyworks vitamins)
Headstand 10 min per day (3-4 months)

      Thanks for answering.

So the switch caused all the shedding?

I am back to the foam as of today. This time Kirkland which is cheaper and everybody is saying is the same as Rogaine.

I also started using Nizoral 2% x 2 per week and got some Maxi-hair vitamins.

Hope the shedding stops soon because my hair are worst than they were before even starting minoxidil a year ago.

At the beginning I thought it was seasonal shedding or due to synchronization of the hair growth caused by rogaine.
