    Why do people recede in different shapes?

    Why is it that some people recede in a V shape yet other's recede in an U? The U shape makes it so hard to detect recession. Someone could be a Norwood 3 with a U shape and look less recessed than someone with a Norwood 2 V. Are they both the same type of recession or is one worse than the other?

    I don't know but I'm receding in a W shape. Lol.
