Default Am I starting to bald?

    Age 20

Maternal Granddad - Solid v hairline, probably recessed slightly above above a mature hairline. Still retains thickness at 67.

Dad and grandfather - Both have hair, grandfather is same as maternal granddad except thinned slightly. Father hasn't recessed much, probably sits at a mature hairline age 45 with thick hair.

What Norwood am I? Am I balding and should I start taking precautionary measures..

Your hairline and crown look totally solid to me. It's possible you have the start of a mature hairline forming. Do you know when your grandfathers developed their mature hairlines? I'm guessing they won't remember, but it's worth asking.

Personally I wouldn't start any treatments just yet.

I've noticed that my crown is in the exact same place as my gradma's is and she had balding men on her side of the family. Does this mean I'm taking after her?

Few people exactly follow the balding pattern of a relative and even when they do it's probably quite coincidental. I definitely wouldn't expect you to follow the same balding pattern as a female relative as they have a totally different hormonal profile to you.

Im not necessarily referring to my grandma herself, more the males down her side of the family. My grandmother's hair is intact but I know that her brother and father were bald.
