Pfizer starting with gene editing trial (not hair related)
A lot of process has been made in the field of gene editing, but so far none of the big companies has done any trials in this area (at least not that I know of). It's always been universities and startups.
However recently Pfizer has jumped in and is now building on Sangamo's gene editing platform to start a clinical trial (which already has been approved) regarding Hemophilia A: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/sanga...200100659.html
Although not directly relevant to us, at least not short term, I think this is a very big step. If big companies like Pfizer feel confident enough the technology is ready to try in humans then we might see more gene editing therapies in the not so far away future. If this becomes mainstream one day then I'm sure this is an interesting way of solving hairloss too.
Sure, this might not happen in the next 10 years, but still, I thought it's a development interesting enough to mention here.
