Am I Shedding?!

I went on Finasteride at the beginning of the month. My crown was not great prior to going on, but I just took a pic of it and it looks seriously wrecked and thin now. It's only been like three weeks, is this shedding or is it more likely regular balding? Thank you for any insight.

Three weeks is long enough for the shedding to begin. Those hairs that you have lost have all been put into the resting (telogen) phase. You should see improvement starting in a few months.
