Unhappy Starting To Bald, Trying Everything, First Post :(

    Hi everyone,

I first noticed my hair loss about 4 months ago, but I know it's probably been going on for a bit.
I have hair-loss on the crown and top of my head, with my hear line receding as well

I still haven't come to terms with it
It's hurt me emotionally a good deal

I'm trying to do whatever I can.. but there really doesn't seem to be much out there

I went on finasteride, then stopped due to side effects.. then started again a few weeks ago because I felt I had to do something.
I had PRP w/ acell done a month ago.. wasn't cheap. Can't say I have much faith in it either.. but trying whatever I can
I've tried Rogaine but it is SO hard to use. It gets in my hair and makes it look very unbecoming and very difficult to manage. And I'm scared as hell about the shed.. I honestly don't know if I can emotionally take a shed right now

    Any input please chime in

    I so much appreciate it!

    Thank you,
    Jason

Put the rogaine on at night and if time in the morning for a few hours before you shampoo, after 2 hours most of it is absorbed. Your hair will look like shit if you try to keep in in during the day. You need to give these treatments at least 6 months. The mistake a lot of people make is going on and off different things because they don't see results after a few weeks. PRP in my opinion is a scam.

    Bolt24,

You're making a smart choice, by treating you're hair loss early.

If liquid irritates your scalp, strongly suggest you use FOAM.That's what it was
designed for, to stop scalp irritation.

Anti DHT medication is CRUCIAL to hair recovery. Cannot stress that enough. Rather than
take breaks, take half the dosage. Half of Fin is better than nothing, that's for sure.

Minoxidil will help your hair grow, but it won't fight DHT. Only Finasteride/Dut can do that.

Best of luck to a solid hair recovery!

Some people use Minox once a day at night. I have been using the foam in the am and the solution at night. The foam is invisible. I am not sure Minox helps that many people but it make one feel they are helping the situation....

a forgotten fact, is manage your health.... Don't take SSRI anti depressants, take Calcium/Magnesium supplements, avoid Soy, take Vit E, drink coffee, moderate alcohol use, make sure thyroid is normal....what I am saying is backed by sound medical science which REDUCES harmful Estrogen and improves Progesterone levels....these are mainly anti aging that reduce inflammation and fibrosis....fibrosis and hair loss?

Thank you for the warm welcome. I'm 34
It's nice not to feel so alone in this. It's been tough to accept

Makes sense.. but I wouldn't have time to do 2 hrs before work.
Should I go on fin first and see if it works after six months, and then do the rogaine?
That is certainly logical since I don't want to deal with the side-effects without knowing if it is helping or if only the rogaine is
However, I feel like I'm on the clock and have to do anything and everything asap :/
What's your advice on this? And thank you SO MUCH

I'm having difficulty with the foam. It gets all over my hair, and makes it look unbecoming and unmanagable.

And same question I asked mrclean. Both of your inputs would be GREAT

Should I do fin first for 6 months to see if I get results? And then do rogaine?
This way I dont have to take fin if it isnt working, and thus no side effects
BUT I feel pressure to get on anything and everything immediately

It's great to hear back from you Bolt24!!
It's really good that you are 34 years old now!
You do have the proper foresight that would not allow you to become worried and depressed over any of your hairloss!
Can you show photographs of your scalp ?
Of course you do not have to show your face...
    It's great talking with you!!!
    Cheers !!
