    4D means that they can print this hair from the futur to someone in the past.

    "The device, which is called Lockz, encourages the hair follicles to literally extrude plastic."

    I was wondering what this device actually does but I don't know what that is supposed to mean.

    it means they're think their readers are complete morons.

    I should have noticed the date on the article and "Hatzovf" University in the first sentence. Looking at it again now it's clearly a joke article.
