HELLO Tabaga ! Welcome to this great forum, the BTT !!
(Ive been here since 2010)
It is possible that you are only experiencing a maturing hairline because you are 18 years old now.
No one can really know for sure.
Do not allow yourself to become worried or depressed about this or anything else.
That can and would cause serious issues to your scalp.
I suggest that you start using the over-the-counter medicine,
Biotin!! It is a vitamin of the B complex.
It has a long history of helping to improve hair for men and women.
Do the research on it and then start using it.
Went you do start on it, understand that it takes time to improve the hair.
Have a good day Tabaga!!

Maturing and receding is the same thing, sometimes the receding stops for a while sometime it doesn't. To be honest if your hairline looks like this at 18 the probabilities that you end up bald at 30 are quite high...

Its like everyone who is opposed to the idea of there being a " mature hairline " classification is completely pessimistic towards evidence. Mature hairline is a variant in the "receding " hairline. It was given its name for distinction purposes because its referring to individuals whom maintain their hair between (1.5nw-2nw) with recession with no alarming progression, meaning you can carry through your 50s. You say it stop for awhile, but why is it that some people recede to higher norwoods & dont go any further then that ? Every bitter guy with hair loss has this narrative " it going to keep going until its bald " . Balding & receding are two different things that share only one relevant thing in common ... its all hair loss, but to different extents .
