So I've been on generic fin for a year now...

Id say my hair loss has definitely slowed down. No regrowth but hair feels thicker except from the temple/frontal areas which is probably *slightly* worse than a year ago. No major sides either.

What I'm curious is, is it worth going for the proscar next time I make my order or to stick on the generic fin?

Anyone out there that made the switch? Some advice would
    Be great.

    Thanks in advance :-)

The drug is not particularly dose dependent above 1mg. It will block an extra 2% serum DHT or something similar if you move to 5mg. If it was a cost issue it's definitely cheaper to go 5mg proscar and cut it into quarters so 1.25mg. Generic legally cannot be more than 10% different than the name brand, so shouldn't be a substantial difference.
