Question on starting with finasteride

Hello, i am a 25 yo guy who just started to notice thinning and shedding.
For this i have decided to go on finasteride, probably 0.25mg each day, since alot points to this being as efficient as the full dose. But i have one question regarding sides....
I have never had acne, and i have barely any body hair yet, neither do i have much of a beard yet. Can this point to me already having really low DHT levels and should not take finasteride then?

I'm not sure. But I understand that testosterone gets converted into dehydrotestostorone (excuse my spelling!) so basically it will increase your testosterone. That's why it can have side effects like shrinking testicles. Bit like bodybuilders who abuse steroids: increase testosterone and your body doesn't need to work as hard increasing it. I am a newbie! So learning here too though so speak to a doctor/ pharmacist about your concern rather than take that as gospel :-)
