Number of grafts for Zidane look
Hey guys,
I'm diffusing and going towards what I think will be a NW6 as 29 yo.
Considering getting a FUE, but I'm aware it will be almost impossible to achieve a full set of hair at NW6, but I've been pondering if I should just get the front part to frame my face.
I'm thinking like Zidane in the photo below. I think that looks great, but how many grafts do you think it will take? And do you think it's a viable idea?
Cheers

Don't do it. The risks are just too high, especially when you want a short haircut. For me the the FUE donor area has a thinning pattern that is visible with any kind of a buzz cut. It just won't look like that, what you'll end up with is an unnatural stubble and a scalp full of scars.

why u dont get FUT first and then FUE? In this case you can achieve a full look, with FUT first, you can save many donor hairs for future.Im severe balding too,26 and nw5,and this mention above is my only option to achieve full head of hair.

I don't need a full set of hair and I think it's too risky. All I want is a shade on the top that gives me a frame. I want to be realistic. And I don't want there to be any problems further down the road.

Hi hctr,
How many mm. punction did you get FUE with? Cause I've heard they're pretty much invisible if you're doing it with 0,6mm - at least if you heal well, which is something I'd test with 50 grafts first.

I don't remember what punch size my FUE was. But the fact is if you remove hairs from the donor area it will be thinner. The shape of the extraction is clearly seen if I don't have a longer haircut. Other things to consider: If you go bald and only have that hairline it's a pretty obvious hair transplant. And on top of that if the skin changes texture and gets bumpy.
Going bald sucks and can make you sad. But in my case a hair transplant was the worst mistake of my entire life. If you were to see my donor area, pitting and hyperpigmentation I would think that would convince you not to get a transplant. Zidane definitely looks better with a shaved head, you should try that before getting operated on.
Are you ok being "the hair transplant guy"? What are your plans if the operation is a failure? I would be happy if I could convince even one guy not to get a hair transplant. The anxiety and remorse I feel everyday are crushing. A naturally balding head and a healthy scalp are just so much better than any hair transplant.

I m in the same boat, l wish if i shave my head before jump into the fire
Now my only wish in this life is to get back my healthy scalp again
