Minoxidil / circles / breaks

Hi i am 33 years old and i have been using minoxidil 4% for the last 2-3 years , then change to 5% after a while. and i am on and off with vitamin pills for the hair.

last year i changed dermatologist/doctor, i am seeing a new one.

he said it is better to use minoxidil in the worst periods of the year that u loose ur hair ( usually fall, spring) and the other months u can use vitamin pills only for 2-3 months(by hairgen) and later on use only the hairgean foam against hair loss. so ur head wont get used to the same treatment and loose its effectiveness. at the same time he has given me 3 shampoos to change often (priorin, vichy dercos, and hair force) .

so i have started this treatment and for the last 3 months i have been using the hairgen foam only,every night instead of minixodil. which means i havent taken minoxidil for those 3 months.
i am reading now that someone should never stop using minixodil once he starts, cause he will see bad results and big hair loss. i havent seen something weird ( i loose hair when i shower but i think that's normal, and especially winter or fall) but more or less my hair looks the same during the day.i take pics once per month and check the results.

should i restart minodixidil instead? every night?
or changing treatments every 4-6 months is a more effective option?
i have attached some pics, taken withing the last year. it changes back and forth, some times i look better some other times worse, depening on the period of the year, and also on my hair lenght. usually the shorter the hair the better i look. the most recent is the very first one with the black shirt and the glasses.the oldest one is the right last one.

I bet your doctor is getting kickbacks on those supplements. I would find another doctor and get back on minoxidil.
