Why can't this work
I am not new to hairloss (am 51, part of the original Minoxidil studies in 1985).
Why cant you take your remaining existing hair - let's say you grow it to six inches for example - then cut 3 inches off - and "punch" the hair into the scalp one hair at a time? This is how hair is injected into the polyurethane membrane of a hairpiece. It's your own hair so there should not be a rejection (speaking as a non-doctor). Wouldn't the hair remain in via wound closure on a microscopic level?
I'm 100% positive other people have asked far more stupid questions (for those who are saying this is a stupid question). But, in biological and logistical terms - why could this not work? This way, you get one hair in your scalp punched into the skin like hair grows and if it is possible to stay in, wouldn't you basically have an unlimited supply of hair until it broke off or fell out - then just cut your own hair and punch in again. Second part of this question is can you use any hair since it is basically protein?
Just asking - hold yourself back from trying to be creative and insulting. Thanks.
