Telogen Effluvium, or MPB, or both?

Hey. I'm 20 years old, in the past 2 weeks mostly, I've been noticing my hair shedding a lot more than it ever has. About a month ago, or two months ago I would have practically no hair falling off my head.
In the beginning/mid of January, I went through an extremely stressful period emotionally, that lasted about two weeks (I truly do not say this lightly at all, it was one of the most ****ed up things you could probably go through), and almost exactly a month later my I've been losing a lot of hair. These hairs are usually about medium length, some shorter, about a half of them have the white keratin bulb at the bottom. Although my temples are thinning and receding, and my crown is starting to thin too.. there's also a lot of weird hairloss around the sides of my head that don't usually follow the mpb pattern. I don't want to be one of those people in denial of the fate of their hair and just say its stress, but based off my research this sounds like telogen effluvium. But I'm also scared that it might be mpb also. There's hardly any hairloss on my mothers side, but a lot on my fathers side. My father started losing his hair in his 30s. I have two older siblings: 22 and 24, who have no hairloss at the moment.
