Default Frontal region thickened significantly on dut 1.5 mg.

I was on dut .5 mg for two years with diminishing returns. So I increased my dose to 1.5 mg per day for the last three months. Now I am regrowing hairs in the front and it has thickened out significantly. But my vertex on right side has thinned out. Before that vertex was not the problem area but now vertex is the only problem area for me. Any idea what is going on.

Pics? Sounds pretty unlikely. Are you using any topicals?

I am sorry but I don't take photos of my head. I have been using minox 5% for the last 2 years. Why does it sounds unlikely? Anyway for the last few days I have been on 2.5 mg of dut daily.

If you have the classical balding pattern of receding at the temples and diffusing across the rest of the scalp like the majority of those with MPB it is because genetically the hairs at the front are less resistant and those in the crown are more resistant. So the idea that reducing DHT is resulting in the more resistant hairs falling out while the less resistant hair areas are thickening is extremely unlikely. If you are a diffusing all around it is possible, but not with the typical receeding pattern. Maybe you have got slack with the minox or you are not getting it directly on the scalp areas because of longer hair or something.

I have read a shit ton of posts and never seen anyone who is gaining at the front on Dut lose in the crown which is why I ask for photos. Maybe it's just a regular hair cycle of weak hairs being replaced by stronger ones. Week 12-16 is commonly a shedding phase for taking up a new stronger regime.
