23 years old, receding hair line on temples. Started 5mg finasteride

Hi everyone,

Just started daily 5mg finasteride. Was hoping for any advice/info people can provide on what I should expect.

Obviously worried about reduce in sex drive as I was told that is the only possible side effect- is this true? Also it sounds like this side effect is different for every person.

I thought 5mg was quite strong, so I am considering doing 2.5mg by splitting each 5mg tablet I have in half. Anyone know if this is a good idea or not?

I've also got a slight pain in my right testicle after only 1 5mg tablet- but I assume this is normal?

Five milligrams Finasteride daily is insane. Would at least cut thatin fourths if I were you. Too much. It's good you're taking care of the issue though.
