Minoxidil & Hair Transplant for Someone with No Hairloss

Hi, I just got FUT hair transplant 3 days ago to lower my hairline. The doctor gave me Minoxidil 5mg to take 1/2 tab daily for 1 year. I've been reading some stuff online about Minoxidil and I'm quite hesitant. Spoke to the doctor already but would like to hear from you all as well.

Q1. Will Minoxidil really aid my transplanted hair to grow faster and stronger?

Q2. I don't intend to take it for life as I have no hairloss; mainly to help with my hair transplant. What are the side effects of stopping it? Will my transplanted hair or existing hair fall out after I stop taking it?

    Some notes about me --
    - I'm a female in my late 20s
    - I have no hairloss, and my family has no history of hairloss
    - Had FUT hair transplant to lower my hairline

    Thank you so much!

Pointless to take. Could result in medical complications and while it might make the transplanted hairs grow faster, it won't make the end result better. Like you said, you might get shock loss from discontinuing as well. Don't bother if you have no hairloss.

May I know what medical complications are you referring to?
