Hair Breakage vs. Hair Shedding in MPB

Hey guys just wanted to ask a quick question

I've noticed my hair has been very dry lately and ever since I've been concerned with male pattern baldness I've been all too aware of hair in the shower, somedays i find less than 10, other days I've seen 30 (after running my hands through my hair). I've been to a hair loss expert who did a quick look at my hairline / crown and didn't see any signs of concern, but still I worry. ALL of the hair I found have looked like this:









so my question is, is this hair shedding or hair breakage? i use a lot of very sticky moose and a bit of hairspray, is this a normal amount of hair to lose when shampooing with that in mind? i also tossle it?

if this is due to my hair being dry / unhealthy what can I do about it? I am not notcing any hair on the pillow.
